City of Refuge LA to Host Heartwarming Thanksgiving Celebration 2025

As the holiday season approaches, hearts are turning toward gratitude, community, and compassion. This year, City of Refuge Los Angeles is once again leading the way in giving thanks through service. On Saturday, November 22, 2025 beginning at 11:00 a.m. to 3pm, Bishop Noel Jones and First Lady Loretta Jones will host the church’s annual Thanksgiving Community Celebration a powerful day of fellowship, generosity, and joy that welcomes everyone from across the city and beyond.

The event will take place at City of Refuge LA, 1045 W. Redondo Beach Blvd, Gardena, California
a place where faith and community come together to make a lasting difference.
This much-anticipated celebration embodies the true spirit of Thanksgiving: coming together as one community to share food, faith, and love. The doors of City of Refuge LA will be wide open to anyone in need of a meal, encouragement, or simply a sense of belonging. From warm plates of delicious food to Tommy The Clown, uplifting music, heartfelt prayers, and family-friendly fun, the celebration promises something special for everyone.

Bishop Noel Jones, known globally for his passionate preaching and heart for people, continues to emphasize that the church’s mission goes beyond Sunday services. “Thanksgiving is not just a holiday,” he often reminds the congregation. “It’s a lifestyle of gratitude and giving.

This is our opportunity to serve, to pour back into the very community that surrounds us.”
Under the leadership of Bishop and First Lady Loretta Jones, this year’s outreach will feature a wide variety of free resources and activities designed to uplift and empower families. Guests will be able to enjoy a hearty Thanksgiving meal, receive bags of groceries and clothing, and even take home laptops tools to help bridge the digital divide and create new opportunities for work and education.

For those seeking spiritual renewal, prayers and baptisms will be available throughout the day. Pastors and ministry leaders from City of Refuge will be on hand to pray with individuals, offer words of encouragement, and celebrate new beginnings. The event will also feature live music, gospel performances, and family entertainment including video games, popcorn stands, and activities for children creating a joyful and safe space for all ages.

First Lady Loretta Jones, who has long championed community outreach and empowerment initiatives, shares her excitement about the event. “Our goal is simple,” she says. “We want people to feel loved, fed, and seen. Whether someone comes for a meal, a prayer, or just a smile, we want them to leave knowing that God cares for them and that they belong.”

As always, the success of the City of Refuge Thanksgiving Celebration depends on the generosity of volunteers and supporters. Members of the church and community partners are already joining hands to prepare meals, sort donations, and help make the day unforgettable.

In a world that can sometimes feel divided, events like this remind us what’s possible when compassion leads the way. On this Thanksgiving weekend, City of Refuge LA (1045 W. Redondo Beach Blvd, Gardena, CA) invites everyone to come, celebrate, and give thanks because at the table of love, there’s always room for one more.
